Glutathione Cream vs Glass Glow Cream: Which One Should You Pick?

Glutathione Cream vs Glass Glow Cream comes down to what you want from one jar. Our Glutathione Cream (30 g, ₹1,499) pairs glutathione with vitamin C and kojic acid for a radiant-looking finish on dull skin, while Glass Glow Cream (30 g, ₹2,499) pairs glutathione with niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica and alpha arbutin to cover glow, hydration, texture and spots in a single step.

If dullness is your main concern and budget matters, start with Glutathione Cream. If your skin also feels dry, looks uneven in texture, or kojic acid has not suited you before, Glass Glow Cream is the better fit. Here is the full comparison.

One detail people miss: vitamin B3 and niacinamide are the same ingredient, so both creams share two of their key ingredients. The real difference is in the supporting cast. The monthly cost assumes a 30-day month and the jar life above; see how long a jar of night cream lasts for the working.

What the extra ₹1,000 gets you

Glass Glow Cream swaps vitamin C and kojic acid for three different ingredients:

  • Hyaluronic acid holds water in the skin for a plump, dewy look. This matters most if you sleep in AC, live in a dry North Indian winter, or your face feels tight by morning. More in hyaluronic acid night cream.
  • Centella asiatica, the "cica" plant from Korean skincare, is used for a calm, comfortable feel. See centella cream for Indian skin.
  • Alpha arbutin is the spot-focused ingredient here instead of kojic acid. It is known for being gentle and stable in a cream.

So you are paying for hydration and a calmer feel on top of the glow, not for "stronger" glutathione. If your skin is already comfortable and well moisturised, that extra may not be worth it for you.

What Glutathione Cream has that Glass Glow does not

  • Vitamin C, a well-known antioxidant used for a fresher, more radiant look on skin that sees a lot of sun, dust and pollution.
  • Kojic acid, one of the most widely used spot-focused ingredients, typically at about 1–2% in creams.
  • Aloe vera, for a light, soothing feel.

For many people with dull, tired-looking skin and no major dryness, this is all they need, at ₹1,000 less per jar. Our guide to glutathione cream benefits explains what glutathione can and cannot do.

Who should pick which

Pick Glutathione Cream if…

  • Your main concern is a dull, tired look after summer, travel or long hours.
  • Your skin is normal, combination or oily and does not feel dry at night.
  • You have used kojic acid before without tingling or redness.
  • You want to keep spend under about ₹1,100 a month.

Pick Glass Glow Cream if…

  • You want glow, hydration, smoother-looking texture and spot care from one jar instead of several serums.
  • Your skin feels tight in AC or in winter.
  • Kojic acid has stung or felt too strong for you before. Glass Glow has no kojic acid, so it may suit kojic-sensitive skin better, but patch test first, because any cream can bother some skin.
  • You have both dullness and visible marks, such as old pimple marks or sun patches.

The two spot ingredients are compared in detail in kojic acid vs alpha arbutin and glutathione vs alpha arbutin.

By skin type and weather

Your situationBetter starting choiceTip
Oily skin, humid summer or monsoonEitherHalf a pea-sized amount is often enough
Dry skin, AC bedroom or winterGlass Glow CreamAdd a thin extra layer on dry cheeks
Sensitive skinGlass Glow CreamEvery second night for the first two weeks
Dull look, few spots, tight budgetGlutathione CreamUse nightly; sunscreen every morning
Dullness plus marks plus rough textureGlass Glow CreamJudge it after 8–12 weeks, not 2

Can you use both creams?

You can, but most people do not need to. Both contain glutathione and niacinamide, so layering them on the same night doubles up on those and stacks kojic acid with alpha arbutin. That is more active ingredients than your skin needs in one go, with little to gain.

If you already own both:

  1. Patch test each one separately, behind the ear or on the jawline, for 24 to 48 hours, a few days apart.
  2. Alternate nights: Glutathione Cream one night, Glass Glow Cream the next.
  3. Use a pea-sized amount of one cream only, on clean skin, as your last step.
  4. Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen, SPF 30 or higher, every morning.

Simpler still, finish one jar, then move to the other. Our how to use glutathione cream guide covers the nightly routine for either.

Where the Glass Glow Night Duo fits

The Glass Glow Night Duo (₹2,699) is Glass Glow Cream plus our rich Avocado Night Cream, 30 g each. Bought separately they come to ₹3,148, so the duo costs ₹449 less. It suits dull or uneven-looking skin that also feels dry: Glass Glow Cream on most nights, with a thin layer of the avocado cream on dry areas or on alternate nights.

One honest caution. Avocado Night Cream contains kojic acid. If your reason for choosing Glass Glow is to avoid kojic acid, buy Glass Glow Cream on its own, and if you want extra moisture, pair it with the Avocado Glow Cream 15 g, which is avocado and aloe vera only.

On the Glutathione Cream side, the Night Cream Combo (₹1,799) pairs it with Avocado Night Cream in the same way. You can compare every jar on our night cream page.

What to expect from either cream

Skin usually feels softer and more moisturised within days, because both work as moisturisers first. A more even-looking, radiant tone takes longer: skin renews roughly every 4 to 6 weeks, so give either cream 8 to 12 weeks of nightly use with daily sunscreen. Neither cream changes your natural skin colour. Read how long glutathione cream takes to work for a week-by-week view, and glutathione cream side effects for what to watch for.

See a dermatologist before starting either cream if you have melasma, painful or cystic acne, a rash, or are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Short answers

Is Glass Glow Cream better than Glutathione Cream? Not better, broader. It adds hydration, a calm feel and alpha arbutin, while Glutathione Cream focuses on a radiant look with vitamin C and kojic acid.

Which has more glutathione? Both list glutathione as a key ingredient; the difference is what it is paired with, not a stronger version.

Which is better for kojic-sensitive skin? Glass Glow Cream, because it has no kojic acid. Patch test it anyway.

Can I use Glutathione Cream and Glass Glow Cream together? Not on the same night. Alternate nights, or finish one jar before starting the other.

Does the Glass Glow Night Duo contain kojic acid? Yes, in the Avocado Night Cream. The Glass Glow Cream in the duo has none.

This is general skincare information, not medical advice. Patch test any new product, and see a dermatologist if you have a skin condition.
